Not the energetic Can-Can dance but more of the watering type; we talking water cans, an indispensable tool in the farm. You can use a hose to water the plants but on days the water pump has its day off, this cans are the only way to get water to the thirsty plants.
So goes the nursery rhyme. There are a couple of mulberry bushes in Kampung Kampus and the main attraction is the mulberry fruit; loads of them. Mulberry bush is a perennial and fruits all year round. Not only is the fruit nutritious but the leaves of the plant can be drunk as a tea.
Where there is free food there are rats. At Kampung Kampus, their favourite food is vegetable and the tender young seedlings and fruits. A homemade food cage was built to keep these prowing rodents away from harvested produce.
